This piece was also inspired by the Barton Springs Greenbelt, an island of nature surrounded by urban development. Barton Creek runs through Travis and Hays Counties in Central Texas. It is a symbol of Austin's environmental well-being. An abundant variety of wildlife, including sunfish, Barton Springs salamander, bass, darters and catfish are found in the watershed. |
